CODE OF CONDUCT · HOW WE TREAT EACH OTHER

Our community code

A small set of promises that keep this a kind, safe place — for everyone, every day.

DRAFT for founder & legal review — not yet legal advice. A working draft for Bob and Ken to review. This is community guidance, not a legal document.

This is a warm, welcoming community. Whether you're brand new, getting older, or simply careful about where you spend your time online — you belong here. These are the few things we ask of each other.

What we ask of you

Simple, human, and the same for everyone — members and stewards alike.

Be kind Treat people the way you'd want to be treated. A little patience and warmth go a long way.
Assume good faith Most misunderstandings are just that. Read generously, ask before you accuse, and give people room to learn.

What has no place here

Some things break trust, so we don't allow them.

No harassment or hate No bullying, threats, slurs, or demeaning anyone for who they are. No sharing someone's private details.
No spam or manipulation No flooding, scams, deceptive links, or gaming the community for personal gain.

If something feels wrong

Saw a post that worries you? Someone treating you badly? Tell us, and a real person — a steward — will look into it. You don't need the right words; just say what happened.

  1. Report it. Use the Report button on any post, or write to us through Help.
  2. A steward triages it. A human reads every report — calmly, and in private.
  3. We take fair action. That might be a quiet word, removing a post, or — for serious or repeated harm — suspending access.
  4. You're protected. We won't reveal that it was you who spoke up.

Nothing happens in the dark

Accountability runs both ways.

Every action is logged and signed When a steward acts on a report, it's written into our signed, tamper-evident logbook — like a witnessed receipt. That keeps the people with the keys accountable too. See how this protects you.
The short version: be kind, assume the best, speak up when something's off — and trust that a real person will take it seriously. That's how we keep this place good.
